Hiking, cycling and mountain biking are among the most popular summer activities in Venosta Valley. Especially the bike is a perfect way to relax and explore the diverse cultural landscape of this unique region. Active vacationers have a close, well-maintained trail network with places for breaks at mountain refuges and pastures at their disposal. The bike paths through the wide, flat valley basin are perfect for intermediate cyclists, leisure cyclists and families.

The 80 km long Adige Cycle Route along the old Roman road Via Claudia Augusta is particularly popular among moderate cyclists. The way runs from Resia Lake in the North to the spa town of Merano/Meran. The panoramic road of Tanas, leading to Corzes/Kortsch near Silandro/Schlanders through Alliz/Allitz, is particularly scenic and entirely paved, thus also suitable for road cyclists.

Bike rental, bikemobil Card, Bikeshuttle

"Suedtirol Rad" offers bicycle rentals at seven train stations along the Venosta Valley railway line. These rental bikes can be returned at each station with the sign "Suedtirol Rad".
The bikemobil Card allows the use of all public transport in South Tyrol and the one-off use of a rental bike. From the beginning of April to the end of October the Bikeshuttle Service offers a shuttle service and people, bicycle and luggage transport service along the cycling route of Via Claudia Augusta.
